What I’ve Learned About Success…
This reminds me of a funny situation…
Once a stranger came up to me and asked: “How can I be as successful as you?” Well, my answer at the time was: “Work hard and think smart,” but then I realized that up to that point I had never really given any thought to what success truly meant to me.
I like to think of success as a state of complete happiness. I also know that I will only get there if the people around me are happy. As soon as I get there, I promise to share what I’ve learned along the way.
What I’ve learned about Overcoming Challenges…
There is one interesting tactic that I use to overcome any challenge. It’s something that most skiers use when they’re glade skiing.
Say you were skiing through some trees at high speed… Now imagine what the average person would say. “Don’t hit the tree, don’t hit the tree!” and what would a professional skier say? “Stay on the trail, stay on the trail!”
The point is to keep your mind focused on the goal, rather than the obstacles. Any challenge can be overcome if you stick to the trail long enough.
What I’ve learned about Leadership…
Above all, a leader must have courage – the courage to take responsibility for other people.
Not just to tell people what to do, but to help them, to stand up for them, to coach them, to encourage them, to be there for them.
As I see it, a leader is someone prepared to put the interests of their people before their own.
What I’ve learned about Personal Growth…
One important thing I’ve learned is that progress doesn’t come from outside, it comes from within. The only real way to get to the next level is through personal development.
Next… To grow, teach others. By answering questions and explaining to others, you deepen your own understanding.
So, if you want to grow – get an intern on board.
What I’ve learned about Mistakes…
Most mistakes are due to misunderstandings. So, my advice to you is: always ask questions, you might be surprised by the answer.
What I’ve learned about Innovation…
Have you heard of the developer’s curse? Well, the curse is that if you want to stay relevant in the IT world, you have to keep up with innovation.
Therefore, I can’t point out any specific innovation… By the time this article is published, everything may be completely different.
You have to update yourself daily.
What I’ve learned about EBS Integrator…
I believe that the beating heart of EBS is its people. After all, it’s the individuals within the company that make all its activities legendary and memorable – leaving a lasting impact both starting inside our walls and echoing far beyond the open world.
What I’ve learned about Making an Impact…
For me, impact is about doing something for people: colleagues, the team, strangers.
Do something that will be remembered forever. Even if people will never know who did it, the important thing is that they will say it was done well.
We can all make that kind of impact by getting involved and helping each other.
